"The illiterates of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn"
- Alvin Toffler
Express Training gives you an opportunity to learn fast, easily and independently. It provides you with an access to the most important concepts and guidance tips in particular areas.
What the Express Training requires of you:
If you are new to self-directed learning style, you might be a little fearful, but participating once you will get feelings what is your best learning style. You can use your own pace by using Up and Down arrows.
To get the most of this course, before starting any learning activities always:
Prepare:
-
Allocate a time period without any interruptions (you must focus your attention). This course requires 1-2 hours.
-
Prepare a notebook and 3 different colour crayons (you will need to group information).
-
Prepare a dictaphone or tape recorder (if you have it).
-
Dress comfortably, to free up your blood flow and circulation
-
Open a window and breathe deeply for one minute.
-
If you are right-handed, raise your left hand and draw imaginary, random figures in the air. If you are left-handed, use your right hand (you are warming up the creative part of your brain).
-
Make sure you are not hungry, tired or stressed.
Review your written goals
Get excited about the subject of study.
Use accelerated learning techniques:
- The first time you read information, read it aloud (the more senses are involved, the easier it is to remember).
- With one colour of crayon, write down key words from each slide.
- With another colour, write down the words you do not understand.
- Verify in the dictionary the full meaning of the unknown words you have noted, as well as all key words for which you are not able to give a definition.
Review material for the second time:
- This time with the third colour draw symbols to represent important points.
- When you are going through the test, put the dictaphone on.
- Listen to how you answered the questions from the test.
- Find someone to whom you can teach what you have learned, or use an imaginary student.
Put your notes in a visible place and review them before you go to sleep and just after you wake up (your brain is in alpha stage and retains the information more easily). | |
